Inside bets are the ones, which are placed directly on one or more number. There are many types of roulette bets in the inside bet edges. They are classified as:
The straight up
In this bet type, you bet on one or more numbers by placing your bets on the numbers available on your layout. For a winning stroke, your number has to hit 35 to 1.
Split bet
This bet can be played on more than one number. You can place your chips accordingly, on the line between the two numbers. 17 to 1 is considered as a payoff number. The house edge percentage is 5.26 for double-zero American wheel and 2.70 for single-zero European wheel.
Street bet
A street bet is a popular bet with many names like three number bet, side bet or trio bet. This is a simple bet only on three numbers. By placing the chips on the outside borders of the numbers, you place your bets. A winning bet is from 11 to 1.
The corner bet
In this bet you place you bet on four different numbers, and you win at least on one number. The bet is valid only when four numbers make a square. Hence the bet is also known as a square bet. The bet is usually placed on the intersection of for squares where the four numbers meet. 8 to 1 is winning bet.
The Five number bet
The five-number bet is also known as “The monster bet”, “The beast bet”. This bet is exclusively for American double-zero wheels. This bet incorporates five different numbers like 0, 00, 1, 2 and 3. Here a winning bet is placed at 6 to 1.
The Line bet
This bet is also known as the six number bet and six line bet. In this bet, you place your bet on the outside borders of six numbers. The winning bet is at 5 to 1.
2. Outside proposition bets
Outside bets are placed based on the theories of propositions such as low-high, odd-even, red-black, first-second and third dozen.
The column bet
In this bet, you claim and place your bets on one of the columns of number. You need to pick a number and place it at the bottom of the column. A winning bet is from 2 to 1.
The dozen bet
In this bet, one number from the dozen will hit a win. They are the layout number you will be betting on. You can place your bet on two of the dozen and the winning bet is at 2 to 1.
The odd or even bet
In this bet, you place your bet on either odd or even section of the layout. The layout contains 18 odd and even numbers each.
